Blood is Thicker by Paul Langan and D.M. Blackwell

The story is about a boy named Hakeem Randall that moves from California to Detroit because his dad has cancer and they couldn't afford to pay the hospital bills anymore. Now his mom, dad, little sisters, and him live with his aunt, uncle, and his cousin Savon. Hakeen has to share a small room with Savon. Before they were friends when they were younger but they quickly became enemies. Later Hakeem met a girl named Anika and they started going out. Savon and Hakeem got in a fight because Savon was always in his face. I hope that later in the book they realize that it's stupid to fight and become friends again.

A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L'engle

This book's main character is Margaret Murry, she has three younger brothers Sandy and Dennys who are twins and then another younger brother named Charles Wallace. Their parents Mr. and Mrs. Murry are very intelligent but Meg (Margaret) isn't as smart as people assume she should be. Her friends say that she acts immature for her age. The book keeps my attention because she has a rough kind of life. Maybe throughout the book her life will get better/easier.
I would recommend this book to anyone because it is very exciting and adventurous. The book was recommended to me so she also thought this was a good book.
